If we're steaming vegetables, I found that the container was very appropriate and all usage is that it described it's a very good size. Love My Blanching Pot !
It's a stronger constructed pot, 100% times better than the old thin aluminum pots. It's made of steel, is heavier but not too heavy to use continually. And it's shiny and pretty. Did not lose it's shine inside with use. Good handles, too.

I needed a steamer to finish some Montreal smoked meat I'd been curing. We have an induction range. Our old steamer did not work with the new range so we needed a new one quickly. Ordered this one on Sunday, it arrived on Monday, and I used it on Tuesday. Worked perfect on the induction range! I cut the brisket in half, put one half in the main basket and the other in the top basket.
