I bought the 18x24 so it would purposely stick out past my dish drainer. I have a teapot and accessories that I drip dry each morning and they don't fit inside the drainer if I have any other dishes in it. It works great and still looks tidy. I did see a tea stain one day and was concerned it would not come out since I have the light green color, but I rubbed a little and it wiped right up. I especially like the ribbed texture so the items do not sit in the water and it lets air get in to speed up the drying process. It would be useful in other situations where you needed a non-slip surface to work on such as a work bench in the garage or workshop.
