This is the best mat for under a drain board. It is long enough to hand over the sink edge %26 allow water to drip off drain board when it's full of wet dishes. The width is good too. It extends beyond the sides of the drain board. Water does not leak over the sides or under the front of the mat. It dried quickly. Dirt that might be on something draining, is moved down into the sink. There is nothing left to wipe

I bought this Gorilla Mat to actually place under a soft drying mat as a barrier between the granite and the soft mat, because the soft mat holds water and can ruin a countertop. I purchased the 18X16, but may purchase a larger size as is is handy and versatile. The Gorilla Mat is not thick and is not super thin. The edge around it isn't very deep, so if it's being used for drying wet dishes, not sure where all the water will go.
