I bought this combo pack for the expansion card specifically so the extra 2tb of storage was a bonus. The 1tb expansion card is fast enough to store and play any of the newer Xbox X games. I'm using the 2tb drive to store and play the older games that I have from the 360 and the Xbox One systems. Doing this frees up space on the expansion card making it an incredibly good purchase.

Great way to expand your Xbox and add more games

Super convenient kit. Got it for my Xbox series S, which only has 512gb but formatted is really only like 387GB so it gets tough for larger games. The expansion card connected immediately and added 917GB of space. Was able to download several more games with ease, and they'll play right off the expansion card. The added bonus of the 2TB is that if I really wanted to, since game pass gives you access to so many games, I could load that up and then just transfer games between the 2TB external and the 1TB expansion card (most games will not play off the external drives, so you'd just have to swap them in/out which isn't too long a process).
