I am 71 years old and have had plenty of pots and pans in my life. These Carote pans are incredible. Not only are they attractive, but they are fun to cook with. They are heavier and have very even heating. At my age, I wasn't really keen on cooking much anymore. But, since receiving these, I am once again cooking and trying new recipes. This is an AMAZING pan set! It is lightweight, but extremely durable. The handles appear wood, but are rubberized. The lids have venting in several places, which eliminates boiling over. Cheese comes right off when done cooking, without cooking spray. These are the best pans we've owned.
