In "my day" bottles, nipples, rings and pacifiers were faithfully sanitized in water boiled on the stove top. With my first grandchild, I offered to sanitize bottles for my daughter. Often, the needs of keeping up with baby meant the time slipped away and before I knew it, the water I set to boil was depleted and had to be started again. I was shopping for new bottles when I saw a display for microwave steam bags. I'm already a proponent of vapor steam cleaning my home, and use steam bags for cooking, so I felt the product would be a valuable asset. When I read the instructions and saw that each bag could be used up to 20 times (with easy-to-remember boxes for marking each use) I knew it would be cost-effective and hoped it would provide the sanitation necessary to prevent illness from bacteria on baby's utensils. The bag will hold two complete sets of bottles and bottle parts. 3 minutes in the microwave is all it takes to steam sanitize for use. Use caution removing the hot bag, empty by pouring out hot water through the handy spout in the top side of each bag, and remove contents to your drying rack with a pair of tongs. Simple, quick, convenient! Much better option than needing a pan of boiling water on the stove. I will keep this as a new mom gift for showers! Also think it is great for traveling to friends and family homes when you may need to re-wash and make bottles.
