George Unisex General Purpose Rubber Rain Boot

These are just what I wanted. I tried "Sloggers" but they were so narrow %26 close fitting, the toes so pointy %26 the toebox so short. I wanted something like my old galoshes when I was a kid. I had gotten the sloggers in a size 9, which was 1/2 size bigger as recommended, but they still felt too short %26 I didn't think going up another half size was going to make them wider, so I returned them. And I have really narrow (AA) feet so I just don't know how anyone with normal- or wide-width feet could wear them. "George Unisex General Purpose" don't come in half sizes %26 if they did I might try a half-size smaller as these are a women's 10 %26 huge, but it's okay, they are just for gardening %26 being outside with my dog in the mud; also I have a lot of "equipment" in there: insoles (you will probably need some if you are going to be standing %26 walking for awhile) and my orthotics. After all that they are still a little too large but I'd rather put on extra socks than have them be too small. The lugs are *huge,* another thing I specifically wanted to make them easy to clean with a hose. That might be my favorite feature. These things are water"PROOF," not water resistant, %26 they look indestructable. Some of the "simple" garden/rain boots I saw while looking for these had cloth or elastic trim or areas that could get wet. These don't. No part of them will absorb water. If you don't like the height you can just cut them down, which I may do but haven't decided yet. There are actually markings on them that you could use as guides for cutting. (I actually may have a use for the rubber I cut off, if I do it, which is making some seals for my car.) Also some other brands were $40, 50, all the way up to $90 a pair, I couldn't believe it. These were $21. I consider them a great buy.

I wear a woman's 6 1/2. I ordered the men's 5 because it says they fit women's 6-7. They're quite large on me but they'll work. They have zero padding so I recommend buying inserts if you intend to wear them for an extended period. I bought them so I can tend to the varmints even if it's wet outside. They're easy to put on and take off which is great. It's a good deal overall.
