I bought the LaCie mobile drive a few weeks ago in the T2 size. It looks like I could have been OK with a T1, but maybe I will grow into it. It was easy to set up and navigate! I am pleased so far with the drive!

It works well and is easy to use.

I have been using this for about a month now, primarily as a personal photo and video backup drive. It's been easy to use and hasn't given any problems. Basically I took it out of the box, plugged it into my computer and it just worked. It's not some bullet proof vault type of portable hard drives I have seen at the store. This is "normal" shape, size and plastic shell material. That's not a bad thing if you are just using it at home and aren't planning to beat it up. Overall, I am happy with the capacity, functionality and simplicity of this drive. It also worked with both my windows and Mac laptops.

Fast for a spinning drive

At first I was weary about using a spinning drive as my backup solution instead of a SSD drive...first due to speed and second due to moving parts the possibility of lost data is greatly increased due to the moving parts inside the HD. Well for this drive I am not taking it with me or moving it from being plugged into a server that I backup nightly so I dont have to worry about accidently dropping it or breaking the drive and losing my data...ideally they would switch this to a SSD drive but honestly this drive is extremely fast and very dependable as of now...no issues at all so far! I would recommend this product to anyone that would keep it stationary.
