Wow, I am So pleased and impressed with this outdoor wood-smoking grill. I have never smoked anything before. I love my Blackstone Grill and would not replace it, but I wanted to try smoking some ribs and pulled pork. I'd done some ribs in the kitchen oven, but I wanted to take it to the next level. I didn't want a colossal wood pellet smoker, but from YouTube videos, this looked like a perfect fit for me: the odd smoke here and there. The fact that it is electric doesn't matter, as we're fortunate to have solar power. However, after monitoring its use, the power usage was pretty low. Once it reaches temperature, it just keeps it at that temperature. I did my first ever pulled pork, I tried a 3lb Boston Butt covered in pig rub. I use the built-in thermometer to slow smoke at 225F until it reaches 172F internal temp. Spritzing with Apple Cider Vinger every hour or so. Once it reached 172F, I covered it in BBQ sauce and Apple Cider vinegar and wrapped it in foil. Then let it roast at 325F until the meat reaches 203F. Let it rest for an hour. Also, while smoking this, I emptied two cans of Cambels pork and beans in a dish and added some BBQ sauce and Apple Cider vinegar, It was worth it for just the beans alone Wow, incredible fall-apart pork, great smoke flavor, done to perfection. Love this thing.
