The Bissell Crosswave is designed for pet owners, but it also when you have kids they can be worse than any pets. The cleaner gives you a deep thorough clean on many surfaces. It is so easy to switch from a floor cleaner to a rug cleaner. We tried it on our linoleum, hardwood floors, rugs, and on our carpets. It works great with minimal effort. It cleaned the floors excellent but was not the best on the shag carpet seemed to take much more effort and multiple runs across to get them clean. The rugs and berber carpet cleaned very nice and the hardwood and vinyl shined after cleaning. This machine is very easy to use, it is lightweight so it is easy to handle. I really like the swivel head and nice long cord. It is a very powerful cleaner and also seems to be durable. It has the Bissell brand name that I have learned to love and trust. Great for any household with pets or children.

LOVE IT! First off, beautiful, silver and black with purple chrome trim. My wife was concerned about the weight, weighs in at a mere 12 lbs. Functional to a tee, reservoir on back looks just like a drinking sippie bottle. Clearly marked with water/cleaner fill lines for either large or small jobs. Comes with Bissell cleaner and I also tried dollar store floor cleaner. I think any cleaner would work wonders in this little beauty! Fill tank, plug in, select carpet or hard floor, lean handle back to start brush and vacuum, squeeze trigger to dispense cleaner. THAT'S IT! LED lights illuminate on base when cleaner is being released. Carpet setting just releases more cleaner. I was going to vacuum but the wife said "How will you know if it works.", good point. Now, we have 3 LARGE dogs, Chihuahua and a cat, also a muddy back yard. THIS BAD BOY SUCKED UP ALL THE PET HAIR, PINE NEEDLES ETC, THEN SCRUBBED, SHINED AND DRIED MY FLOOR! That sentence deserves to be in ALL CAPS! Okay CLEAN UP, the tray in my picture serves as a dock and a cleaning station. DO THIS BEFORE YOUR LAST TANK EMPTY! Pour clean water in the reservoir with the provided cup and turn on the machine. This cleans everywhere the dirt just went. Now empty out the dirty water reservoir for the last time. My pic shows 4 items that are all in that reservoir. Just rinse them and leave out to dry. That is all you have to clean. I find this as easy to use as my old hand broom. Keep it filled, plug it in and give your floor a sweep and scrub. I did my kitchen last night in 3 minutes and my wife walked right across the floor WHICH WAS ALREADY DRY!
