Great ice maker for the price!

This ice maker replaced a true "built-in" that was put in by the original builder. Makes ice quickly. It does have a pretty noticeable vibration in the coils/vent area when it cycles on. Lasts about a minute. Ice is the banana style, but smaller than a conventional kitchen ice maker. It gives specific instructions about "having a professional plumber install...." But, of course we weren't going to do that- after all, this is about saving money to re-sell our home. It doesn't come with all of the parts to install the unit to the water line, and it tells you that it doesn't in the instructions. BUT, if you already have the hose and the fittings, you'll be fine. Overall, good product for a good price. I'd recommend it!

Never run out of ice!

We use A LOT of ice daily in our home. Our fridge runs out early, mid-afternoon at the latest. The addition of this ice maker has not let us run out of ice yet. When it kicks on, it is a little noisy, but no more than most refrigerated appliances. Not a single problem yet.
