After many children, two with profound disabilities that require I'm active the entire day, I felt like I could barely stand from the pain in my feet and legs, much less run around my house all day taking care of the children. Most flip flops were too thin, and tennis shoes weren't practical for inside the home. I saw some medical/prescription shoes for plantar fasciitis; But, they were all hideous and cost a fortune. I found these after about a week of searching for shoes with a thicker sole online and tried them, but wasn't expecting much as they were quite inexpensive. They are INCREDIBLY comfortable. I use them as my house shoes summer through winter, wear them the entire day I'm at home, and by the end of the day, typically 12-16 hours on my feet, I have virtually no pain in my legs/feet at all anymore. They aren't even showing any wear yet. The only downside is, if one preferred to wear socks with their shoes, you can't with thong-style sandals. (I prefer not to, anyway.) They have quite literally changed my ability to take care of my home. They grip the floor better than other shoes I've had (I mop while wearing them regularly,) the sole absorbs all the shock, and they wipe clean easily. One shoe went missing once, which we believe our toddler threw away, and these were comfortable enough, I just reordered them. I definitely encourage anyone struggling to give them a try. (They fit true to size for me, with a very slight extra width than a typical sandal.) ***I want to throw a particular recommendation to new moms/expecting moms. About 4-5 months into one pregnancy was when I had to seek out more suitable footwear, as the pain was debilitating . Pregnancy is hard on our bodies, and these are perfect for wearing before and after delivery, particularly for throwing in the go-bag if you have your babies in a hospital setting.***
