  • One ingredient, nothing else: 100% nigella sativa seed oil. No refining, no bleaching, no hexane, no preservatives, no blending. What the seed had is what the bottle has.
  • Wood pressed, slowly: Cleaned black seeds, kalonji, are pressed in a wooden ghani at low speed, so the oil never heats up and keeps its dark color and its sharp, peppery, cumin like aroma. The aroma survives cold pressing, so the oil still smells of the seed.
  • Unfiltered by design: The oil settles by gravity and is bottled as it is. A little sediment at the bottom is the mark of a real cold pressed oil.
  • A finishing oil, used raw: A few drops over salads and grain bowls, into hummus, labneh and yogurt dips, stirred into honey for toast and oatmeal, into vinaigrettes, and over dal and lentil soup the way Indian and Middle Eastern kitchens use it. Never for frying.
  • Fresh, small batches: Pressed in small batches in Ahmedabad, India, sealed in a BPA free PET bottle and shipped to the USA. Best before 6 months from packing. Keep cool, capped tight and away from sunlight.
