The comfy soles of these shoes make walking a breeze. Absolutely no impact on the joints. The shape of the soles propels you forward in a very natural manner. My feet feel comfortable inside the shoes with no rubbing anywhere. They fit the same as my other Vionic shoes. (I wear a 9 1/2 in Vionic but a 10 in other brands.)
