Key item features

  • Supima Cotton You Can Feel: Extra-long fibers spin into a smoother stronger yarn than standard cotton which is why this tee feels soft on the first wear and resists fading and fraying later
  • Relaxed Through the Body: Cut with a looser line that skims instead of clinging so it works on its own in summer and layers under a cardigan without pulling across the chest
  • Neckline Covers Your Straps: The crew neck sits high enough to keep bra straps out of view which removes the constant small adjustment that ruins an otherwise easy top
  • Falls at the Mid Hip: A straight hem at the mid hip gives you coverage over leggings and stays put when you reach; wear it tucked or leave it out
  • Tagless and Machine Washable: No neck label to scratch and simple home laundering keeps this in regular rotation rather than saved for special occasions

Gone downhill: much less material than 2 years ago

I have purchased this shirt for more than a decade because it was one of the few that fit my petite frame well. Unfortunately, the quality and fit have deteriorated significantly. The fabric is noticeably thinner, and the shirts are now two to three inches shorter than they once were. At 4'10", I find the length inadequate and cannot imagine how they would fit taller petite women. I have returned several and reluctantly kept others to wear beneath sweaters or sweatshirts. (My husband has experienced similar declines in quality and fit with other Lands' End products over the past several years, suggesting this is a broader issue rather than one limited to this shirt.) It is deeply disappointing that a once-reliable Lands' End staple has fallen victim to declining quality and apparent shrinkflation.

Poor fabric

I purchased the soft apple green color, and it is very nice. The fabric is very thin and slick. I actually thought I'd misread the description -- it feels like polyester.

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you liked the soft apple green color. However, we are sorry that the fabric was not what you expected. We understand how disappointing it is when the material feels thinner and slicker than anticipated, especially when it differs from the texture you expected based on the product description. Your feedback regarding the fabric weight and hand feel is appreciated and will be shared with our product team for review. If you have not already returned the item, we accept most returns within 90 days of the shipping date. If your return qualifies, you'll also have the option to choose merchandise credit for a free return.
