Sturdy enough for me %26 my friend but maybe not for both me %26 my sturdy husband. The seat part is just a sling of the same fabric then the thin cushion. I'm getting a foam section to put in between, just for more comfort %26 support, but it's fine. So fun %26 reasonably priced for easy, cozy seating. May even get another.
