As one who no longer buys every new iPhone that comes out every year, I am in the situation of having to replace covers before the phones they protect. Such is the case here, and I was happily surprised by the quality of this iPhone holder. It seems sturdy enough to handle the day-to-day mishaps that might happen, including dropping it, and rugged enough to give owners of the older iPhone 14 Pro Max comfort knowing their device is relatively safe. The only issue I found, and it is an issue common to Chinese-made products, is the instruction page. This one is one small page, about 3 inches square, that has six black-and-white panels with low-quality drawings of a hand and the holder. What is not clear is that the holder, which comes fully assembled in a plastic bag, is made up of three parts, all of which must be disassembled prior to putting the iPhone in the first piece. Separating the first two parts is intuitive; the third is not. However, I have had experience with holders like these and removing the pieces was done carefully. I think the third, thinnest and most fragile piece might be easily broken by someone without patience to read and understand the printed diagrams, which again, are not very clear. Be careful! However, once my old iPhone 14 Pro Max is safely and securely inside entire unit, I am absolutely sure that it will be well protected for the period of time remaining before it gets replace.
