First things first. You need an SD card or it will not work. Once you insert the SD card it will begin the set up. It's very simple to connect and set up. Read the manual carefully. There is an app that you can download and connect it it's wifi so you can control the camera with your phone. when you connect to your phone it disables the buttons on the camera, but does not turn off the camera. if you need to use the front camera but already stuck it to your window it does detach. There's so many settings and functions it's really awesome. it will display a large picture of the live footage from the front camera and at the top right corner a small picture of the rear camera. you can also switch to see them separately. Remember read your manuals carefully and never throw them away put them somewhere safe because you might need them later. There was two other cords that I'm not really sure what they were for. I didn't read further in the manual about them because I didn't need them. but I'm sure they are important.
