Why I bought this trimmer and what I like about it

The Black and Decker string trimmer chosen because of the the brand and low price. It is a no frills trimmer - exactly what I want. I do not install the guard because I like to be able to trim from many positions - sometimes from the back of the trimmer. I like that there is no safety thing to operate when starting the machine. Just squeeze the trigger and go.. It is very light weight. It is designed to bump it on the ground to feed out more line. In the past I found that that method did not work and all that bumping damaged the machine. I stop, push in the bumper button and pull out the line. Easy to do, works every time and does not damage the machine. I also have a battery trimmer. It is handy but battery is done after about 30 minutes. I like the corded much better.

Great little weed eater. It is a lot lighter than our gas powered weed eater, so I use this one and my husband uses the gas one. It trims right through the grass and weeds with no problem. We've had a lot of rain lately and the dense grass bogged the trimmer down a little, but it still did its job. I've had the trimmer almost a year now and can say I'm happy with it.
