This Mandolin Slicer Works Great!!

This mandolin slicer works great!! I used it to thinly slice fresh ginger. Very easy to use and adequate size for any slicing job I might have. It sliced the ginger very easily and very thinly. It took just seconds to slice through about an inch of fresh ginger. When using a rasp grater it took several minutes. This slicer works much better and much more quickly. I haven't tried carrots or cucumbers or potatoes but if it works this well on fresh ginger it should work very well for any of these three.

Just used this for the first time to slice a cucumber. Very easy to use. Just use the slide tab to select thickness and start slicing. Blade is very sharp. Recommend using the finger guard which also very easy. Haven't used it for anything else yet but I can't imagine it wouldn't work well for anything like potatoes, radishes, carrots, onions, tomatoes. Also very easily cleaned. Make sure to slide the button that will close off the blade when cleaning. Highly recommended this..
