A Couple of Issues

I had a couple of issues with these bar stools. The first is that some of the bolts were not long enough. I had to go to buy some longer bolts and washers to get one of these assembled (see photograph). These bolts and washers cost me $11.85 along with a trip to a hardware store. The second issue is that the bases are well suited for carpet. They are relatively narrow and are not very stable on carpet until the person is seated. After being seated, the stability is better, but not very good. They would benefit from some sort of post at 4 or 5 evenly spaced places so that these posts sink down to the base of the carpet. I will probably try to create something like this. A good solution does not present itself. They are not bad enough to need to return them.
