It recommends 2 people to assemble it. FYI: I'm almost 72 %26 have both neuropathy %26 arthritis in my hands. No problem assembling this on my own, while watching TV, with all the parts on my sofa. Not kidding! I wasn't expecting much it to be really solid cat tower but I am VERY pleased. I have a 10 lb female cat who was a feral that I took in. After 3 years, the tower she had looked like a shredded mess. This one is nicer %26 better made than that one %26 it was $30 more, 3 years ago. I found this one was very easy to assemble %26 the directions were clear. All the parts needed were clearly defined but check before you star putting it together so you know you have the right amount of pieces, go page by page, get what you need together for each step, %26 you won't have a problem. She loves to sit in the sunroom in front of the glass door %26 the room is shrimp pink so I also bought her one in the pink. Gorgeous! I'll have that assembled, too, as soon as I sign off. Really, for this price, you can't go wrong, especially when it's well-made. I don't give 5-star ratings or good reviews if I feel something isn't worth it. NOTE: I have wood floors so I put some nylon slider buttons on the bottom to make it easier to move the tower away from the window when needed. TIP: To make it easier to line up the predrilled holes %26 grooves for the screws, take a a pencil or pen %26 insert it to line them up. Leave it there %26 get the size screw you need for it, slowly remove the object aligning it, %26 insert the screw. This speeded up the assembly process a lot for me. As you can see by the photo, Lola is giving this 5-stars, too.
