Love my Bayou Classic 24 qt.

I used it today for the first time and it performed great. It fit perfectly on my outdoor cooker. Once I got it up to a rolling boil it kept it going as I added the meats and vegetables in each stage of the boil. I used it with the basket and around 2/3 filled with water. By the time I added enough red taters, onions cut into 1/4 wedges, oranges, lemons, sliced sausages, corn on cob and extra large shrimp the water was right at the rim of the basket and still 3 inches from the rim of the pot itself. The basket made it easy to empty the food into a large roasting pan for serving. The basket held enough to fill the roasting pan. Plenty to feed 10 to 12 people. If you use the pot without the basket it will feed a lot more people but won't be as handy to dump. The pot is well made and the handles are riveted. I see myself getting many years of service from this pot.

The aluminum should be a better choice

What I'm concerned about is the fact that the pot weight is not that heavy so I'm wondering if it holds heat well the handles seem to be sturdy which is good I haven't used it yet but is looking forward to it but otherwise I do like the pot.
