I needed a tie for autumn church services. I like plain but stylish black ties because they match nearly every style and every pair of pants in my wardrobe. Often when you buy them, you end up with something closer to a dark navy blue or dark purple, because it fades in the laundry. The Color Accuracy of this item looks great out of the box. It is definitely a dark black, and I am confident it won't fade too fast. The material is like a coarse silk. Ideally what you want in a tie is Material Quality, and a good selection on Fabrics at the Textile Factory. This Fabric is not so silky that the knot comes out every 5 minutes of wear, but not so coarse that it itches or damages your clothing. It tied very easily into a windsor knot. I'd say overall, the product is excellent.
