Lee® Men's Legendary Workwear Loose Fit Carpenter Short

I used to the old Lee denim blue jean type carpenter shorts. I like the canvas material and the color of these new shorts. The side pocket fits my phone well, though not as deep as what I'm accustomed to, but I don't think my phone will fall out. I use the watch pocket for keys and this one is too deep. They fit, but the cut is different. The crotch is way low which chafes my inner thighs. They are not the old carpenter shorts that I really like.

Great if they were sized correctly. They are at least an inch wider than an older pair of exact same shorts that are the same size on the tags.
