All the other competitors have these small hard to get a belt through the belt loops and Lee is the only one that's sitting in board meetings saying hey lets make are belt loops big enough to get a belt through. Atta boy Lee!!!!

Lee carpenter shorts are the gold standard for comfort, fit and quality. I have tried to buy other types and brands but they never hold up. I also like to buy from the brand site so I know they are not cheap copies.

Works for me, but not the best

I used to the old Lee denim blue jean type carpenter shorts. I like the canvas material and the color of these new shorts. The side pocket fits my phone well, though not as deep as what I'm accustomed to, but I don't think my phone will fall out. I use the watch pocket for keys and this one is too deep. They fit, but the cut is different. The crotch is way low which chafes my inner thighs. They are not the old carpenter shorts that I really like.
