Bodum Bistro Electric Burr Coffee Grinder, Stainless Steel, Black

My day doesn't start until I've had a few cups of coffee. My favorites this of brewing is using my French press so freshly ground beans are a necessity! The Bodum Bistro Burr coffee grinder is simply, amazing! It's easy to put together and instructions for use easy to follow. The actually cone that holds the beans also has “measurements” on the lid suggesting how much to grind per what size coffee you're wanting. It's sleek, works great and feasible noise level when grinding. I love it!!

Despite some reviews citing above average noise levels, I find this burr grinder is considerably quieter than all of the blade grinders I've ever used. It has a lower pitch when operating and I don't grind more than I need, so I find noise level to be negligible. The glass receptacle that holds the grinds imparted some static the first couple of times but seems minimal after a few uses. I do use a small brush to clean out the little bit of grounds remaining. Good consistency in adjustable grind size- no more "mud" in the bottom of your mug when using French press! Ditto for drip-grind. Haven't used finer settings yet but I'm confident that it will perform that task suitably, though may require regular cleaning, as all grinders do when fines are involved. I have a galley-style kitchen in my small residence so appreciate the small footprint 5.75" x 4.5" x 10". Initially, I bought a replacement name-brand blade-style grinder when the old one gave out, but fortunately it was DOA, causing me to re-think the action. I'm glad that I spent only a little more for a decent burr grinder.
