I try my best to deliver as optimistic reviews as possible, but there's one thing that will always be the absolute top priority above that. Honesty. While I am 100% honest in every review, even the angry ones (that goofy flashlight that set me off on a justified tirade), this one is going to have to take a detour from the product itself and focus on the seller and the listing which has the intended side effect of the product still being the primary focus without having to really mention it. I understand you want sales and you'll choose words most likely to achieve that, but here's the thing. I expect Temu or AliExpress to have blatantly over hyped listings and remind myself to picture the description and subtract no less than 35-40% for a more realistic view. Sometimes I'm surprised, even ecstatic. For the most part, I'm with a tolerance range for the realistic expectation I set for it. Every so often I miscalculated that 35% reduction in headline hype and should have reduced 75%. Can't win them all but you can't win if you don't try so that still alright. I've only been thoroughly disappointed a couple times. I'll give a perfect example before I convince you to rethink the choice of words on your listing. I promise this is going somewhere. Lithium ion batteries on those platforms I mentioned. I buy 18650 size frequently. I'm a living index of knowledge on li-ion batteries. Advertised as 5000mah? 9900mah? Not even in the same solar system. They're more like 650-800mah, but I still know they're going to work just fine for what I'm doing so I simply look for type (Imr, icr, inr, etc) and that sets my expectation realistically. Even though your listing is curtains, it 100% follows the same sales technique as the Temu li-ion batteries. I'm not saying they're bad. Quite the opposite". They are well done, have a really nice mostly glossy finish, and are in fact blackout. This is the perfect time to mention that in Walmart stores in the curtain aisle, there are these overpriced eclipse curtains that say 100% blackout but are only comparable to stick on window cling as they do next to nothing as claimed, (especially for the unreasonable peice) so it can't be denied you're are far superior by a wide margin. I should have checked the weight. True thermal and sound dampening add a lot of weight. True blackout alone also achieves this naturally but not nearly as well as ones designed for that. So you have true blackout, some added barriers by default, a pleasant appearance, and well made. You didn't mislead and I set realistic expectations based on the words used in the listing and overall, that's fine. You did do the Temu battery idea and over hyped it though. My advice: Be honest. If it can, it can. If it can't, make another that can as part of a series of a model. You'll be surprised at how well that works and your sales will go up naturally when you offer realistic expectations. Noone is perfect, but we all can at least try and learn! :) :) cheers!
