I like these socks a lot. I wear a size 10 and 1/2 men's shoe and these are a little bit tight. that is okay for me since I use them for bicycling in the summer. these are not a thick winter wool, but instead a fair weather thickness. out of the bags, these socks are ready to wear. they feel soft as a result of some kind of conditioner they've been treated with. they did not leave any fluff on my toes after wearing them, which is something I appreciate. I like that they don't have those plastic ties punched through them and are instead just loose in the bag . The intriguing thing about these socks is the reflective embroidery around the ankle. it was difficult to get a photo of this, but the band on the sides of the ankle are definitely reflective. this is a great safety feature for cyclists. anything I can do to make myself more visible, especially from the side, is a welcome addition to my wardrobe. I did see quite a bit of stringing and loose threads in the socks. I don't know whether that will come undone over time, but they are not as cleaned up as some other brands. these work for my size 10.5 ft but I would not recommend them for anything larger. All of the socks have an l. at first. I took that as left foot but they're all left foot. perhaps it is large.
