This multi-symptom relief formula temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with common cold or inhaled irritants, the intensity of coughing, the impulse to cough to help you get to sleep, and nasal decongestion due to a cold. It will help loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive. This medicine combines 20 milligrams of Dextromethorphan HBr, a cough suppressant, 400 milligrams of Guaifenesin, an expectorant, and 10 milligrams of Phenylephrine HCl, a nasal decongestant. My grandkids come home with the flu and gave it to everybody I had just flu for 3 weeks. I still had this flu when I'm working on it. This call so help especially you have a lot of cold in your chest. The taste not so pleasant. But it works.

I had gotten a cold, was using otc meds but it didn't seem to help. My daughter in law gave me a bottle of this, and it knocked the cold out of me in 2 days. Taste isn't the best, but I don't think anything in cold meds are.
