Digital Clock Thermometer with Suction Cup Easy Install Adjustable Time Temperature Display

I really wanted to like this little clock. I bought it as a replacement for a similar one that I've had for many years. Although I've tried multiple times, I have not been able to open the too-tiny compartment to install the battery the sits directly behind the plastic suction cup. In addition, the instructions are way too small, and I had to take a photo of them on my phone and enlarge it to read them. Even then, they are hard to follow because the buttons to set the time are labeled in Chinese with only button A labeled in English. I fear that it's a piece of junk, but I might never know because I can't install the battery or read the directions re: the buttons.
