LOW PRICED CLASS-D MINI-RECEIVER

This is the Starklok AV-660BT. A mini receiver which can be used enjoyed almost anywhere. Very light weight. Easy to move from place to place. Versatile power options. AC power cord included. You can connect an optional 12V 5A power supply (walwart or brick type) or connect to your vehicle/boat 12V outlet. Modes include Bluetooth, FM radio, Aux, SD card or USB. Outputs include amplifier to speaker (pair) as well as a 3.5mm stereo output. An included telescoping antenna makes tuning in radio stations easy and convenient (no dangling FM wire to cope with). Quality seems average at this price point. All knobs/controls move smoothly. NOTE: The manufacturer states this amp is compatible with 8-ohm or higher speakers (not 4 ohms). Peeking into the inside, my guess is the reason is due to amplifier not having a heat sink. Driving this amp at higher volumes (via 4-ohms) might overdrive the amp and/or the mini power transformer, which is quite small. The amp chip is a Class-D CS3817BEO. It seems generic. According to chip manufacturer, this amp may deliver 10-watts per channel (8-ohms) or 15-watts per channel (4-ohms). This is adequate power to most speakers and can fill a small to moderate sized room with sound. Distortion is supposed to be low, according to the chip's data sheet. A credit card type remote is included. The remote controls basic functions: volume, mute, mode. All in all, a nice low powered amp suitable for those requiring something mobile, for home, car, camper, boat, office, etc. Nice looking. Clean interior. Low.price. Free shipping with walmart .
