It came in a small box and was surprised with it puffed up. Very cushiony. I got the blue color and it's a great shade of blue. It is so puffy that I feel like I can't sit all the way back but someone smaller would not have this problem. The top section has stretchy band to hold it on which is covered in fabric as are the ties at the back of the seat part. All I had to do was tie the two ties and slip the band around the back of the chair. On my chair the ties slide up about 3-4 inches on both sides, probably because the cushion is so thick from seat to top. Well worth the money.
