This thing is so neat. You can use it as a misting option for a light coating on something like salads or to air fry something for baking, on cooked noodles, or layering a sheet pan recipe. It can also be used as a pouring device as well. The convenience of it is wonderful in that it does both and it's easy to refill also! I used avocado oil since it's thinner and it works great.

Unlike other "sprayers" that dribble or sputter, this produces an actual mist. I've had 3 of these before from other sellers, and this type sprayer works perfectly ... except for one caveat: don't fill more than 3/4 full when using thin liquids. With oils, the pour spout seals sufficiently to keep the oil from leaking out. However, with thin liquids, like balsamic vinegar, there is not enough pressure on the silicone disc to ensure it seals against the pour spout's lip. You'll get a mess with thin liquids, so only fill 3/4 full. That way, and because all food will be lower than the sprayer, the thin liquid won't reach the pour spout when you tilt the spray at the food lower than the sprayer. No one uses these to coat food that is held perpendicular to the ground. Leakage isn't a problem with thicker liquids, like oils. I have one for olive oil (to flavor salads), a second for rarified canola oil (absolutely no taste imparted to food), and a third for avocado oil (highest smoke temperature). This fourth one will be used with balsamic vinegar to use along with the sprayer for olive oil. You can mix those, and shake furiously, but they separate on the salad. The mist these sprayers provide will better coat the lettuce. The oil and vinegar still separate, but they do so on the lettuce, not after draining off and sitting in the bottom of the bowl. These really do provide a fine mist. Others I've tried either squirted onto the food, or sputtered out the oil in uneven globules. The lever on this sprayer is also easier to use than those that rely on a plunger action. You get a mist throughout the level movement, and you can shorten the stroke to spray less. Instead of pressurized cans of oil that leave a tough-to-remove residue when cleaning the pans, I can use these mist sprayers to coat the pan or food with canola oil, or avocado oil. The misters with olive oil and balsamic vinegar are mostly for salads. If I need another mister, I'll get another one of these.
