Bought these for my 7-year-old and honestly the slip-on design alone is worth it — morning school chaos dropped by like 30%. The platform gives a little height boost he's oddly proud of. They run about half a size large so order down if your kid is between sizes. Held up fine through recess and a few puddles. Not waterproof by any means, but they dried overnight. The sole has decent grip — no sliding on the gym floor, which was my main concern after his last pair. Only gripe: the glitter/detailing on the girls' version started peeling after about 3 weeks of daily wear. Fine for occasional use, not ideal if your kid wears one pair into the ground like mine does. Good for: school runs, playground, casual weekends. Not for serious sport or heavy outdoor use.
