I like thick wool socks. They keep my feet warm in the winter and keep me from getting blisters from my walking shoes in the warmer months. These were a tiny bit snug but they still felt great on my feet. They are soft and seemed to stay up all day as I wore them around the house. I do not care for wild colors. The two pairs I got were a medium grey and medium navy colors. I like those colors.

These socks are very high quality, thicker and more padded feeling in your shoes, but not too think. They are very warm. I know from the military that wool socks keep your feet warm even when damp, but 100% wool is itchy. These are not 100% but are much softer and still very warm. I wear them hiking and camping. The forest and beaches are always damp and chilly in the Pacific Northwest, but my feet aren't! I'm a women who often buys clothing for men because it's often better quality. I especially loved the color of the blue socks.
