Perfect replacement for an older Panasonic unit
Bought this unit as a (very comparable) replacement for a Panasonic NN-T994SF that was purchased in January of 2005. Yes, after 21 yrs of constant use, that old unit finally gave out. Kudos to Panasonic on the quality and longevity of the unit that we replaced!! As to the new unit, we are very pleased. Well-built and cooks well. A big plus for us is that the unit is just under 24" wide (most other brands are slightly wider). Since we have a 24" wide alcove the oven sits in, perfect. I would tend to agree with the other reviewer who commented on the interior light being somewhat dim - maybe a 2nd light on the other side of the oven might have been nice. However, this is not a significant issue in our opinion. Nice Product!

Can't see inside
As far as heating, this microwave works great and has plenty of power. However, the one big downside is that you can't see your food cooking. The interior color is a dark gray as compared with white like most other microwaves and the internal LED light is very dim and can't make up for the dark interior color. Couple that with the filter/shade on the inside of the door window and that means you cannot see your food while it's cooking. So if you want to keep an eye on whether you have a "boil-over" or potential mess brewing, forget it. You either need to constantly open the door during the process to check or roll the dice and hope you don't have a mess to clean up when it's done. White interior paint and a brighter light would have made this a 5star, but as is, I think I'm going to return it.
