I chose the Alienware computer over the XPS because of its robust speed and fast graphics card. The XPS is a professional type computer but the Alienware is just as robust and was $600 less. It boots in seconds and loads software in seconds too. Definitely a good purchase that will be around for a while

My son will use it for college. He already is using it for the start of summer classes. It was awesome that we were able to custom build what he needed for engineering classes. Plus they helped me get the same computer for my son's friend who is going into the same degree.
