It's a lot quieter than the traditional piece. I also like that it doesn't use the float ball at all. With my old installment, it didn't last more than 5 months before it started leaking and had to be replaced. Even then I was having an issue with the flapper not keeping the water from running into the bowl constantly on the initial installment, in turn having water running into the bowl all the time too. But with this one, I'm having no issues at all.

Easy Installation - Problem Solved
This installation was incredibly easy! The hardest part was getting the water out of the tank. My old fill valve wouldn't shut off completely so the water was running constantly. This new one fixed the problem immediately so I'm very happy. TIP: Be sure to use the provided "clip" to attach the fill hose to the fill tube. I thought the tank would fill more quietly if I put the hose down into the tube, but Fluidmaster's instructions says don't do that b/c if you get the hose below the water line, you could create a siphon problem.
