Ktaxon 18 inch Household Floor Standing Mist Fan with 5L Detachable Water Tank, LED Display, PP Body, Copper Motor, Black, Ventilation and Humidification, Touch Control + Remote Control

TLDR: Good fan, I would get it again. The fan has a very quiet 7 blade layout (not the 5 blade stated on Walmart.com) and moves air very well (low is a reasonably low speed while high is a powerful air mover etc.). This fan has a much lower noise level for the same airflow as my other pedestal fans. Good wide oscillation and up-down angle adjustment, the angle locking screw has a wide knob for quick and easy angle setting. The ultrasonic humidifier contributes a useful extra cooling effect and has its own off and mist volume control knob, I immediately found it genuinely useful for combating the low humidity of my place . The humidifier can also be run by itself. The remote is clearly labeled and easy to understand and generates a confirmation BEEP from the fan. Casually pointing it over your shoulder or in the general direction front of the control panel works, precise aiming is generally not needed although the hose to the mist emitter seems to sometimes block the signal. Oh that hose, did you ever see Steve Martin's elephant man make-up? I keep flashing on that memory when viewing the fan at an angle. I am also VERY pleased to find that unlike my other remote control standing fans this one's remote control does NOT have the very annoying effect of setting off my other fans nor vice versa. The weighted base has a stable feel including when maneuvering a full humidifier reservoir into place or wheeling the fan around on it's casters (which work O.K. on medium pile carpet and very well on hard floors). The manual covers assembling the humidifier to the completed fan before covering assembling the fan itself and part of it seems tailored to a different fan, like showing a bracket? mine did not come with (and that was labeled as a gasket), a 14 setting timer not on this fan and things like washers being labeled as mesons and some anguished English but overall the manual is useful and comprehensible, it gives decent coverage of use and care instructions as well as assembly. Overall the assembly process is easy and intuitive with, for me, the exception of securing the ring that attaches the grill halves to each other, I repeatedly fumbled that. Items needed or I recommend to have on hand when assembling the fan: 2 aaa batteries, a small and/or medium and a very small Philips head screwdriver, and although it does come with a short handled disposable wrench using your own 12mm makes it far easier to properly tighten the stand rods to the base, also due to needing to remove some plastic flashing blocking where one of the support legs attachment bolts had to go through the base I also needed to use a pocket knife for the assembly. The two screw knobs that secure the upper part of the fan to the shaft rods thread into nuts that are not fixed in place and will fall out of their slots if the knobs are completely unscrewed. Three operating modes advertised, found 2 , maybe refers to humidifier only for 3? Timer runs 1 hour only.

The fan wasnt that easy to assemble, took a bit to get all together. Has good circulation and oscillating 👍🏼 nicely! Nice spray of 💦 water. Decent fan, but a little pricey. 😬
