I was trying to move on from my old flip phone but did not want a big fancy smart phone. Those things cost too much and the battery dies fast. I just wanted something simple that still works with newer networks. Nothing crazy, just a tough phone that can handle normal use. This phone feels really solid in the hand. It is built tough and seems like it could take a drop without falling apart. The battery lasts a long time, which is a big win for me since I hate charging phones every day. It also has a few extra things like hotspot and radio, which is pretty cool for a simple phone. There are a couple small downsides though. The phone is a bit chunky, so it is not the most pocket friendly thing. The menu takes a little time to get used to if you are coming from a flip phone. It works fine once you figure it out, but it is not super smooth. Overall, it does what I wanted without a bunch of extra junk. Calls are clear and the battery keeps going for days. It is simple, tough, and gets the job done. If you just want a basic phone that can handle some rough use, this one works fine.

A solid brick, and only needs charging about once a month (literally). The body is sturdy and handles being dropped, tossed, getting wet, etc. The screen is a good size. I don't like the way text messages aren't organized into individual chats, and are instead just single messages. It can make communicating a little clunky. It's also frozen a few times while texting, forcing me to take the battery out to reset it. I still haven't figured out how to set up my voicemail, or if I even can. Overall it's a thoroughly okay phone, but since I predominantly communicate with people via text, it's not my favorite. If you mostly make calls, then you'll probably like it just fine.
