These shoes are definitely only for using with a stationary bike. They have a hard plastic bottom and it is difficult to walk in them. I tried riding my mountain bike with them and the plastic bottom slides easily on the pedal, so it is not stable or suitable for riding on a bike with regular pedals. If you have the type of bike with pedals that the shoes can clip into, or at least if the pedals have a basket to hold your foot in place, then these shoes will work great. They are comfortable to wear and they fit true to size. I normally wear a size 9, which I ordered, and they fit great. It is European sizing because it says 40 in the shoe. The shoes have two Velcro straps, and the strap closest to the ankle is adjustable, similar to the type of strap on rollerblades or ski boots, which makes it easy to get them as tight as you want them.

great fit, slipped right now, came with adjustable tightener for clip. 4 screw fit. true to size. would be very happy with product, however does not go with pedals currently on bike. quality of shoe is solid.
