The diamond stitching adds a nice texture to the gingham print, making it look a bit more expensive than it is. It is definitely a lightweight quilt, don't expect a heavy winter comforter, but that makes it perfect for stuffing into a washing machine. The polyester microfiber is very smooth to the touch right out of the packaging. Fits a standard twin mattress perfectly with enough hang on the sides. If you need something breathable that looks put together for a spare room or daybed, this hits the mark.
