simple rustic yet attractive design

This is a great set of Terrocotta dishes with an attractive glaze. the glaze is not a flat color so there are subtle differences from plate to plate and it looks great. I liked this set over others on the sight beacause it not only had large and small plates but it also had Soup bowls and Salad bowls. I live the wider shallower salad bowls for when serving pasta dishes that have sauces rather than serving them on flat plates. the Soup bowls have an attactive band of unglazed terracotta that give it a rustic look. We bought 2 sets for a service for 8 but will likely buy another set of 4 place settings soon just in case a dish or two break over time because I'd like to have replacements. My wife and I have grown to like these a lot and dont want to replace them any time soon so some spares might be nice to have.
