[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received this yarn . Followed the pattern but and use the recommended hook. It was still short several stitches and redid it several times. No way it was coming out. So I tried a smaller hook and it looks a lot better.

I have used several of the all in one skeins including granny, grande, petite and flower power, so when I saw the sweet hearts, I was really excited!! I am really good at crocheting so I was able to make my way through the pattern. However, I will say, I feel like this pattern was rushed a little bit and that kind of cheapens the quality of the product for me. In a sense, I'm a bit put off by it. If someone was new to crocheting, this one would be very frustrating. It says to use a 5.5 mm hook and yes, it also says “or size needed to obtain gauge”. But c'mon. 5.5 mm is way off the mark. I had to frog several times. I eventually made it all the way down to a 4 mm! I've settled on the sweet spot being 4.5 mm, with occasionally use of 4 mm. Did I get a funky skein with no quality control?Yarnspirations- why don't you do a video tutorial and show me that you can make one with a 5.5mm? I'd love to see it.
