Philips Sonicare 5000 Power Toothbrush, White HX4042/81

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teeth felt so clean after just my first use of the Philips Sonicare 5000 Power Toothbrush! The vibration took a few seconds to get used to but it was very easy to reach all of my teeth and gums and I felt so great after. It has two settings for cleaning and for gum health and two levels for intensity which was nice; I preferred the lower setting to start. The gum health option is very gentle while also doing its job. The brush also provides feedback on pressure with a little beep until you adjust. The bristles were soft and comfortable and the head is on the smaller side, given it vibrates and moves, which felt comfortable. It times your brushing based off of the setting, so you know when you are all done! The extra features were great but my favorite part was the way cleaning makes my teeth and gums feel smooth and clean on an every day basis. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this brush to test and review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Sonicare 5000 Power toothbrush is a great electric toothbrush with solid functions. I really enjoy using the toothbrush to brush my teeth. It is very easy to use and my teeth feel so much cleaner when I use this electric toothbrush than when I use a manual toothbrush. The Philips Sonicare 5000 Electric toothbrush has 2 functions (clean and gum health) and 2 intensities. Although there are electric toothbrushes that have more functions and intensities, I feel like these 2 are sufficient. I like the ability to brush my gums with a special function instead of the regular cleaning mode. The gum health function felt good on my gums. There is a pressure sensor that alerted me if I brushed too hard which is a nice safety feature. I especially like the QuadPacer and SmartTimer functions. Honestly I usually never brush my teeth for 2 minutes like it is recommended. However, the QuadPacer and SmartTimer functions make it easy to know exactly how long I've been brushing for and help brush me for the entire 2 minutes. The QuadPacer function makes a slight change in vibration every 30 seconds. This allows you to focus on 1 quadrant in your mouth at a time and then switch at each vibration until you brush all 4 quadrants. I like this function but honestly I use it more to gauge how long I've been brushing for. The SmartTimer, on the other hand, automatically turns off the toothbrush after 2 minutes. I like this idea because it is a clear indicator that you've brushed long enough but honestly I usually don't make it the full 2 minutes and just turn off the toothbrush manually. I think that it is a good function to have though. Overall the Philips Sonicare 5000 Power Toothbrush is a great midrange electric toothbrush with good functions that get my teeth very clean.
