The machine itself works fine and does an adequate job of cooling to make the desired selection. The instructions inside have some recipes to get you started. You can always look online for more that work with Gourmia. Keep the recipes simple unless you know how to make food and drinks from scratch. Have fun and enjoy! my husband says it doesn't hold enough. i think it is perfect. it freezes to the right soft serve for cones it does take wvery bit of 30 minutes before you can use. it has space for sprinkles and for hot fudge. the operation and cleaning are both very user friendly.
