Where have these been all my life? Have tried other products and they've failed. Here's grade A+. Where my residence is right between urban and rural. The street traffic, emergency responders, railroad and the ‘rifle range' are so close. Even a large mill/plant across the river from me. Noisy. Day in, day out. The Decibullz earplugs now make for a QUIET evening... or day. Instructions are clear. All components enclosed. They carry numerous other apparatus as well. Gentle on the ear. Literally. I recall the 80's when big-name companies gad ‘private fittings' for our communication devices. Never once did they fit my ear correctly. Fast-forward: here it is. The answer to ‘where have these been' query. These earplugs come with an assortment of plug sizes as well to ensure a valid, comfortable fit.

I received these Decibullz Custom Molded Earplugs in return for my honest review. I was new and unfamiliar with the concept of molded earplugs and a bit skeptical to say the least. I suffered a partial hearing loss many years ago that was attributed to loud noises. I wear ear muffs now when using my power tools, they work well but are far from ideal. The ear muffs always pinch my ears or put pressure on my glasses and in the summertime they are hot. I have tried the foam and silicone type of inner ear protectors with some success,but all of them have some type of issues. I have often thought why can't someone make a comfortable and well fitting earplug that works well. Decibullz to the rescue, but how do you mold them to fit your ear? The molding process is achieved by using hot water. You can boil the water in a pot on the stove or use a ceramic cup in your micro- wave oven. I chose to use a ceramic cup in my microwave and set the timer for two minutes. Before starting the molding process I trial fit the silicone tips into my ears to see what was the best fit. Four different size tips are provided small, medium,large and extra large. You can change or swap out tips at any time even after the molding process has been completed. Once you have your hot water ready you need a metal spoon handy to retrieve your earplugs. Only mold one ear plug at a time. Immerse the plug into the the hot water for 5 minutes then let it cool to the touch insert it into your ear and then apply pressure to the black plastic portion of your earplug. Don't worry if you don't get it perfect the first time you can simply reheat and retry. They are great for moderate noise reduction and when used with ear muffs the system provides maximum hearing protection. These earplugs are by far the most comfortable I have ever found.I have been giving them the power tool test and they have passed with flying colors. I will be anxious to try them out a the range next time I go. The really nice feature of Decibullz Earplugs is that you can hear normal conversations and easily distinguish sounds while harsh annoying an sharp noises are comfortably muted. I would definitely recommend the Decibullz Custom Molded Earplugs to anyone looking for comfortable and effective hearing protection.
