Great Value All-Purpose Unbleached Flour, 5 lb Bag

As an avid baker I have to say, Great Value All-Purpose Unbleached Flour, really surprised me. I was finding my usual more expensive brand, becoming well...more expensive! I didn't want to sacrifice my baking or the quality so I decided to give the Great Value brand a try since my pantry is full of most of their shelf stable and essential pantry food goods. I am very happy and pleasantly surprised to say this Great Value product didn't let me down! The texture is spot on to the more expensive brand and the bread structure and texture was perfect! cookies and pie crusts are exactly what I am accustomed to from my "former" brand. I get consistent and high quality results without the high quality price. And for you sourdough bakers out there, I now use Great Value Bread flour, but feed my sourdough starter of several years, aka "Gooey" Great Value Unbleached Flour, and he's quite happy with it. I really appreciate the convenience and savings of the 4-Pack 5 lb Bag option. Having 20 pounds of flour for under $10, is a Fantastic Value to say the least. I highly recommend this product and option to stock your home pantries to keep the baking going and smiles coming!

Great Value unbleached flour performs exactly like the more expensive brand name ones. There is definitely value in organic/artisan brands but for a budget friendly, every day option this product fits the bill. I use it for cookies, pasta, banana bread, pie crusts and have never noticed a difference between this and brand name. I always keep it tightly sealed between uses.
