I bought this mat to mainly preserve my new dryer. I'm really impressed with the dual material, as the backing manages to be very secure on the bare metal of my dryer. The top has an almost velvety texture that also offers some good slip prevention for any I leave on top of it. The best part is that it's contained all the little detergent spills, sp my dryer remains pristine. I should've been using these all along! Definitely a must fkr your new appliance, but it'll look nice and crisp on an older unit too by virtue of concealing any damage.
