would HIGHLY recommend! excellent price. i bought these as "the electrical engineer's sleeping bags" ;-) for a camping trip and they worked great! each section uses about 100w. the "temp" control is simple how long it stay on so it cycles on %26 off while keeping you at temp. you can roll yourself up in it with a separate control for below and above you. L below and about 3 above worked fine in 50 degree yurt. we used 2 of them for my wife and I, plugged into a 1000Wh battery pack and it gave us about 8 hours.
